…with the new Metro Visa-TAP card??? Now that Metro has rolled out this new TAP/Visa combo, will it be a welcome alternative to the existing TAP card holders or will it be an extra card in your wallet?
Some are skeptical due to the TAP card only being available to pre-existing TAP products, with no clear way of determining whether you can add to your declining balance or not. While this sort of TAP card is currently available in both New York and Chicago, Los Angeles is doing their due diligence to integrate more technological advances to the Metro system here in Los Angeles.
We will continue to spread the word on the great improvements rolling out for Metro patrons, as many of our members are avid Metro riders. Aren’t you glad that carsharing has returned to Los Angeles to work in conjunction with your car-free lifestyle?? Don’t forget to check out our new “ShareWare“!!!
What are your thoughts on the new TAP/Visa card? Pump it or dump it???

Beginning this July, the price of a Metro day pass will drop to $5. With gas prices expected to reach $6 per gallon, Metro hopes to gain new riders who will choose to leave their personal car at home, in favor of riding public transportation. This reduced rate will be in effect from July through the end of 2011.
Remember to check with your employer to find out about special commuter/ride-share benefits that they may offer. You can also use pre-tax dollars towards subsidizing your commute!
