LAXCarShare respects your privacy and would never sell your information to any 3^rd parties. 

We collect information from you when you apply for membership, when you make a reservation,

when you fill out a form, and when you submit a complaint, inquiry, question or contact the company via email.

However, you can visit our site anonymously.

How do we collect your information?

• Information provided on applications (personal information)

• Transactions (DMV requests, billing and usage)

• Employee/group (applies to corporate accounts only where the employer provides updated information)

• To determine membership eligibility and provide member services

• To secure and process payment information

• to comply with state and/or federal laws.

As part of the California Online Privacy Protection Act, all users of our site may make any changes to their information at anytime by logging into their control panel and going to the ‘Edit Profile’ page.  To the extent any false information is provided, any member user may be held liable for providing such false information.

We do not disclose your personal information to anyone, outside of those vendors who we do business with.  The law permits us to disclose any or all information we have collected about our members to vendors that perform services on our behalf and to companies we are affiliated with.  We do not disclose any information without the consent of the member.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others’ rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

 We limit the access contractors and employees have to member’s personal information.

LAXCarShare, may share aggregate or anonymous membership information for the purpose of promoting the public good.

With respect to security: LAXCarShare has taken steps to ensure that personally identifiable information collected is secure, including limiting the number of people who have physical access to our database servers as well as electronic security systems and password protections which guard against unauthorized access.  When we transfer and receive certain types of sensitive information such as financial information or your driving record, we redirect visitors to a secure server. Currently we use Authorize.net as a third party payment processing agent.

LaxCarShare is intended for domestic visitors and, consequently, is specifically directed towards residents of the United States.

We do use cookies.
